It is unclear why Zelensky came to the White House because he was clearly not ready to make a deal. Zelensky said Russia must bare the full cost of rebuilding Ukraine and that the $300 billion of Russian assets already seized in Europe is not enough. This demand alone is a dealbreaker. He said he did not want to compromise with Russia, shaking his head no when Trump said both sides must compromise.
He repeatedly said a ceasefire is not enough and must be backed by a US security guarantee. This deal only included a ceasefire, so he clearly should not have come to the Oval Office. Zelensky said Putin will not keep any deal without security guarantees, but the deal did not include or even contemplate, a US security guarantee.
Meeting tipping point - JD Vance seemed to grow tired of Zelensky’s constant diminishment of the terms of the deal that was the purpose of the meeting. Vance said it was disrespectful of the United States and the President to hold out that he was ready to make a deal when he just wanted to litigate their larger disagreements live in front of the press.

Yes, the truth is not being told about this deal. Zelinski had agreed to the deal and was coming just to sign, eat lunch and do a news conference. That’s what Trump was expecting because he was led to believe the deal was complete. It really ticked Trump off to find out Zelensky thought he was gonna start renegotiating and tell the US what we were going to do.
That’s also what Rubio was led to believe by Z. The guy lies.
Listen to the whole deal not just what the media wants us to believe.

Yes, exactly. The media keeps showing just Trump getting frustrated with Zelensky. This video briefly goes through the whole meeting, point-by-point. Zelensky was just using it as an opportunity to push the US into war with Russia. He never seriously contemplated the deal.
He actually says that Putin will take the Baltic states and Poland after he takes Ukraine, and then the US will be forced to be involved. No way Putin is invading a NATO country. Zelensky just doesn’t want to lose an acre of land in this deal and he will never compromise.
Exactly. If Europe wants to conduct a decade long meat grinder, go for it. But keep us out of it.
