The Social Security system just took a massive hit—thanks to DOGE uncovering what could be one of the largest frauds in American history. With over 395 million Social Security numbers on file, you’d think there was some sort of miracle happening. But the U.S. population? Around 334 million. That’s a discrepancy you can’t just ignore. This isn’t a technical glitch—this is fraud.
DOGE’s investigation uncovered 3.5 million Social Security recipients listed as being over 140 years old, with some records showing ages as absurd as 360-369 years old. This isn’t a glitch—this is outright fraud. Even more shocking, over 25 million recipients are listed as over 100 years old, and their death fields are marked as “False”—meaning they’re still considered alive, even though they should have passed long ago. To top it off, some individuals are listed as being over 150 years old, with two people absurdly marked at 240 and 360 years old. Are we really funding vampires with Social Security checks? If this weren’t so serious, it would be laughable.

I agree, this is unacceptable, avoidable, and intentional.
100’s of SS employees had to know about this, maybe 1000’s.
This is theft of taxpayer money in the most blatant form, and several people should hang for it.

Could be ... millions of federal fraud arrests?
I’m guessing 95%+ will be Democrats.
Even a couple million losing voting rights = huge difference in elections for the next decade.
DOGE is amazing.
It seems like every department is a uniparty slush fund.
We need to see where the checks were going and start arrests for those involved.

FIRST PROJECT:
1) Obtain ONLY the SS# from every state for their various welfare type “programs”.
2) Find every duplicated SS# across the board.
3) If the SS# is used in more than one state - Investigate.
SECOND PROJECT:
1) In every state analyze those receiving benefits where the person has things like mortgages, vehicles with liens, ownership in a business of any kind. Investigate.
2) When anyone applies for benefits look at the data listed in #1. If the person has such things deny benefits.
This is very easy to do. I was involved in building #2 many years ago when Clinton was in office. It worked so well we got fired.
The fraud is unbelievable.
DOGE is comprised of geniuses.
My Dad died in 2008 and my Mother in 2014. If alive today, my Dad would be 103 and my Mother 101. When they died, we immediately informed the SS Administration. I wonder if someone is still collecting benefits under their SSN’s. Would not surprise me.

I have a hunch someone I know is double or triple dipping.
He has over two million dollars in debt while working as a facilities manager at a hotel.
There’s no way anyone would lend to him with that much debt and that small of an income.
And I know he used someone else’s SSN at least once.

Reminds me of the 'homeless lie' the corrupt press used to push - the 'homeless' portrayed as a young family with two beautiful children when in fact the 'homeless' were more likely to be drug addicts pooping on sidewalks in front of open businesses.

If I understand it right, they should be able to determine this with a simple database query (age field and death field).
Okay, so which COBOL date fields default to 360 years old?
I agree there’s probably data entry errors responsible for some of this, but an hour spent sifting through the data should have showed up the errors.
I know Elon’s guys are geniuses, but COBOL is old. Is it possible that they do not understand the older languages? Misunderstanding that they are looking at.
I knew there was massive fraud, we all knew. But now that actual numbers are coming out, it’s F’ing Maddening. I have to cut a huge check every year and it’s just a huge kick to the balls. I could do so much with that money.
These people that have defrauded us and the ones who knew and turned a blind eye, they need to pay dearly. This cannot go unpunished. I don’t care what party they are from, if they knew the least that should happen is they lose their job and their pension. That’s the LEAST that should happen.

That is the “interpreter” program doing that, not the language. I wrote/designed Interpreters and Compilers.
Most computer languages are for Secretaries,
converting the code they write to something the computer can do is why they paid me the big bucks
