Honduras President has called for an urgent meeting of all presidents and heads of state from Latin American and Caribbean nations, following a backfired threat by Colombia against U.S. President Donald Trump.
It can be recalled that this is the same president who threatened to terminate military cooperation with the United States if President Donald Trump proceeded with his plan for mass deportations of illegal immigrants, including those from Honduras.
On Sunday night, Xiomara Castro de Zelaya, the current President Pro Tempore of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), summoned an emergency meeting of all presidents and heads of state within the region.
“As President Pro Tempore (PPT) of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), I hereby call an urgent meeting of presidents and heads of state next Thursday, January 30, at 11:00 am (Honduras time),” Xiomara Castro de Zelaya wrote on X.
The memo reads:
“The Pro Tempore Presidency (PPT) of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), currently held by the Republic of Honduras, presents its kind regards to all the National Coordinators of the Member States of CELAC, on the occasion of reporting that President Iris Xiomara Castro is calling an URGENT Extraordinary Meeting of Presidents and Heads of State of CELAC for next Thursday, January 30, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. (Honduras).

“What the hell are we going to do? He’s going to send all of our criminals back to us!”
Commie pig looking for a suicide pact.
If their own country doesn't want them, why would we want them?
He and Petro are attempting to ‘regionalize’ the issue against Trump. Rubio needs to pay some people a visit.
CELAC has 33 members:
Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Bahamas, Barbados,
Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica,
Cuba, Dominican Republic, Dominica, Ecuador, El Salvador,
Grenada, Guatemala, Co-operative Republic of Guyana,
Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama,
Paraguay, Peru, Santa Lucia,
Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis,
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname,
Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay, Venezuela.
Precisely right. The truth is they got rid of these people and don’t want them back in their own countries. All of Petro’s blather yesterday was nothing but a smokescreen from that reality.
I was just about to post the same thing. They purposely emptied their prisons and now they’re panicking.
all Trump is doing is asking them to take back their citizens
OMG!
they are running around with their hair on fire
you get the idea that they were intentionally exporting their criminals to the US
They don’t want their scumbag people back.
And all of them are under control of the cartels.
Being forced to take them back upsets their economic plans. Expect several politicians to be overthrown in civil unrest since they refuse to serve their own citizens.
El Salvador,
Do you think the El Salvadorians pay for that?
I think they are on our side, they have a problem if the prison guards aren’t paid.
Having the world’s reserve currency is both a blessing and a curse.
yes, we can issue massive amounts of debt, for domestic political programs, supporting government and political cronies, and for wars of empire everywhere - which the world must accept as a consequence of holding dollars
But to maintain this system, the US must provide the world with dollars, through trade, but also through remittences, aid, and social policy.
As a consequence, it means we must export our manufacturing base, be a debtor nation, financialize our economy, and we must become the global “welfare provider” to many small nations.
In economics, it’s called “Triffin’s Dilemma.” When the economist Robert Triffin proposed this in the 1960s, he couldn’t have imagined one specific consequence was the USA being a dumping ground for poor and criminal elements from nations around the world - but here we are.
Just checked.
For 2025 Deep State had budgeted at least $2.5 billion, yes, that’s with a B, in foreign assistance to the CELAC countries.
Note to CELAC...
Your mouths are writing checks your butts can’t cash.
That, and turning off the money faucet. Not just a little, but zero $ to any of them.
Then start talking about a huge tax or tariff on remittances.
They will cave faster that Gus Gas did.
BTTT
Be a crying shame if all those countries got state department tourist travel safety warnings
¡oh Mierda America ha Vuelto!
