Judge Aileen Cannon on Monday rejected a motion to extend her injunction to block the Justice Department’s release of Jack Smith’s January 6 volume of report on Trump.
US Attorney General Merrick Garland fought to release Jack Smith’s final report all weekend after Judge Cannon’s temporary injunction blocking the release expired on Monday evening.
Last Thursday, a federal appeals court rejected President Trump’s request to block the release of Jack Smith’s report.
Jack Smith resigned from the Justice Department on Saturday.
Judge Cannon allowed the DOJ to release the January 6 volume of the report but blocked the classified documents volume from being shared with Congress.
The Justice Department over the weekend said the January 6 volume of Jack Smith’s report does NOT include information about the classified documents case.
However, this is not true. In a motion filed over the weekend, the Justice Department admitted the January 6 volume of the report (DC case with Judge Chutkan) references the classified documents case (Florida case with Judge Cannon).
President Trump’s lawyers in a court filing last Wednesday argued the release of Jack Smith’s report would disrupt his transition to the White House.

Sounds like she blocked the part they wanted to release and allowed something Democrats don’t want.
Cannon shoulda got Jackass Smith fired and his “team” shutdown well before his “Reports” were burped up.
And the meritless Garland Gitmo’d for driving JA’s appointment.
The meritless Garland is a Domestic Terrorist.
Just like the government can now TRY and intimidate media to tought the party line, freedom of speech I guess:-/
She and bubble butt big Fani are wanting to stir up the lawfare BS again. Still trying to put President Trump in jail. Why do these lies need to be released? Friggin’ crooks.
It’s not going to change anyone’s mind about anything.
The 'classified part' would be the part FBI agents infiltration the crowd and ushering them in... Most of us don't care what they have. We know billions of dollars in damage was done by BLM and Antifa - and there were hundreds of riots. Our 'occupy Congress' was wrong but it was two hours and there wasn't any griffiti, no fires burned and two windows and a door were damaged. So we know where the deep state thugs were coming from - and releasing it will just give more compassion to Trump.
Sadly...it will take a couple of years...or more...for a Federal court to trow everything out,as Alan Dershowitz and Jonathan Turley have predicted will happen.
She wasn’t the judge in the Jan 6 case, just the documents case.
I don’t understand why. Is she another one of those that are so willing to sabotage Trump before he is sworn in like Amy and Roberts? This is one reason why the judicial branch is no longer trusted. I really thought she was honorable and sticking to the rule of law but it seems that she’s another typical runaway judge. Jack Smith case should’ve been thrown out from the get-go when she even acknowledged he was not appointed by Congress or the Senate to bring the case against Trump. So which one is it? Truly disappointing.
Release the Epstein client list.
The story says a Federal Appeals Court approved the release of the Jan. 6 report. She removed her injunction against the release of the Jan. 6 report. Don’t think she can overrule the Appeals Court.
It will then be under the purview of the Trump DOJ and Pam Bondi.
She has the option of shredding the docs or re writing it to expose the scam and Cannon is giving the Trump team the chance to write the first and final draft of history on this sad show trial. .
I suspect that the Trump DOJ is going to re write the report to set the record straight.
I’m not upset about the release of the first volume, at all. It’s all a bunch of lies. No one of substance cares.
The upside is that when the bad actors at DOJ and FBI won’t have a bitch when Cannon allows Trump’s DOJ and FBI to release reports related to upcoming prosecutions and civil lawsuits that will surely be filed in her court.
