"It was unavoidable. Nobody could have stopped it. It is a once in a lifetime experience. Even if the reservoirs had been full and the hydrants had pressure, nobody could have stopped it. It is nobody's fault But here's the catch. If the insurance companies dropped their Homeowners insurance because the Reservoir was dry and the hydrants weren't maintained the homeowners not only lost their home because of gross negligence they are also unable to rebuild because of it. The homeowners need to find out why the insurance dropped them. If it was because of the dry reservoir there needs to be a lawsuit.

Of course. It isn't nobody's" fault. Humans made errors. I even heard them sticking up for the $750K/year incompetent, saying she spoke up. There are times you must speak out or refuse to follow orders. This was one of them. Of course, for the $750K/year incompetent person, that might mean losing that salary she was eminently unqualified for, but hey, I am sure she could have obtained a job in some HR department with a $200K/year salary in which she wouldn't have endangered people except for some unsuspecting employee who commits some woke transgression.
