Mike Pence has revealed what he and Donald Trump discussed during their brief encounter at Jimmy Carter’s funeral.
In an interview with Christianity Today, the former vice president said he congratulated the president-elect on his landslide victory against Kamala Harris.
“He greeted me when he came down the aisle,” Pence explained. “I stood up, extended my hand. He shook my hand.”
”I said, ‘Congratulations, Mr. President,’ and he said, ‘Thanks, Mike.’”

How did you get that out of those words?
I’d think you’d like that Pence wants Trump’s commitments.
I agree, we aren’t supposed to ask God to do OUR bidding, but this is common, and you know it. We frequently ask for help to get done and be fixed (I sure do, in constant pain). That is typical. The only thing that really needs to be added is “but not my will, but Yours”.
Dollars to donuts you wouldn’t say this about Trump. Of course, you won’t see him praying much, anyway.
You got it.
Lots of hypocrisy all around. And libel and slander (never mind name-calling) on who is, after all, a good man.
To me, it was saying that he does not trust the Trump and Vance team to fulfill their commitments. What a jerk I wonder if he knows how much we hate him
Trump: “Who are you and why are you bothering me?”
Pence did the right thing. Biden and his allies did a wrong by accepting it. Actually, many, very many wrongs were done in getting there. Thievery.
Just self-promotion by Pence.
Pence is a milquetoast establishment RINO. He’ll sound conservative but when his vote is the one that matters he’ll fold like a cheap camera.
Fro me, his demeanor and behavior during the Covid adventure was enough to sour on the man. That's now been many years.
What is true is that President Trump will again be inaugurated in eight days. Thereafter, Pence can quietly fade, become just another Trump critic, or perhaps actually support the president. I suspect he is not considering the last alternative.
And you know this how?
That's how it sounded to me, as well. Like Deacon Pence thinks he is of higher spiritual worth than Trump. When what really matters is what God thinks.
But he may have thought he did, sticking with the Uniparty. And his intentions are what matter to God, and also to those of us who believe the results of voting in several of the states were manipulated and should have been reviewed, not rubber-stamped.
I stated, I’d bet. Dollars to donuts, as most who harumph about Pence would. Predictable behavior, but it’s not “knowing”, just a good bet.
I wish Trump would totally ignore that guy. 100%... just walk past him like he wasnt even there. everyone else, be yourself with. but pence? just look over his head as your greeting everyone else...
There's more to this than you take into account, "Truthseeker".
No, what I wanted him to do was to do his job, which is to state that because of the irregularities involved in the various states, that he cannot be confident in the results and in good conscience certify the election.
That doesn’t mean Trump would have gotten to be president again, it would have just meant we go to the SCOTUS have the facts of the irregularities be examined by an open inquiry in front of the world.
The SCOTUS were afraid to get involved and kept dodging the case due to “no standing”. Pence could have forced them to have no choice of hear the case. No one asked him to change the results, only that he force the SCOTUS to take the case. That is how the system is supposed to work. The Constitution gave the VP the power to certify precisely to address this controversy, but Pence didn’t do his job. He treated his duty as just a rubber stamp.
