The USS Enterprise model was huge. The working model now sits in the Smithsonian restored to its original glory.

WOW that was great! I never really thought about how big the model would have to be.... they did a fantastic job!

Eleven and a half feet. There was also a 3 foot filming model that only recently resurfaced. It was returned to Eugene Roddenberry.

Oh it was real, and TJ was real for 2 more seasons than star trek.
To: Waverunner
Objection!

Boston Legal also had 5 seasons and ten more episodes than TJ Hooker.

Blue screen and before that black screen was used in film to drop out the back ground. While video green screen is more common today, but blue screen still works with video especially for shots with a dark space background. I have done all three, blue and green screen with video and back in the ‘60s when I was a teenager, I would film white title letters on a black background and then open my 8mm film camera in a totally dark room and turn the film back by hand then re-shoot the film in daylight making the white letters appear superimposed over the scene. The black background acted like unexposed film.

You’re welcome. Yes, the Galileo 7 was a good design.

The only real Star Trek was aired on SNL almost 50 years ago.

Years ago while visiting DC for work I walked all around the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum looking for it and was about to give up, finally located it behind glass in the Gift Shop, yeah it’s big, only one side was painted.
I understand they’ve since discovered the importance of what they have and did a complete update on the model.
To: Macho MAGA Man
Youβre welcome. Yes, the Galileo 7 was a good design. The name of that shuttlecraft was "Galileo."

The name of the episode was "Galileo Seven" (because the shuttlecraft was crewed by seven persons).

Clearly, you didn't spend enough of your youth memorizing the "Star Trek Concordance."
