the Donetsk region is not Ukraine. They declared their independence. Ukraine is the foreign invaders.

What complete nonsense! Donbas was seized by Russian backed militants before there was any referendum. The referenda themselves were conducted under Russian military occupation without any prolonged public debate. Even so, they were for autonomy, not independence. It should also be noted that the Russians are the minority in Donbas, not the majority. Russia is the invader.

The people of Donbass rebelled against the illegal coup in 2014 after a President they voted for overwhelmingly was driven out of office.

Keep repeating that if you want, but that does not make it true. The Ukrainian people rose up against Yanukovych after Russia pressured him to betray his electoral mandate and repudiate the Ukrainian-EU economic agreement that was overwhelmingly popular. The people of Donbas, which is majority Ukrainian, did not rise up. Rather, Russian backed militants from the ethnic Russian minority seized power. This was a real military coup. Donbas could have participated in the following presidential elections and settled the issue peacefully if not for the Russian military occupation.

But, I am disgusted by how corrupt and dirty our politicians and Deep State are.

There is no deep state that is deep or more corrupt than Putin's Russia, but you do not seem to have any difficulties with that. Portraying Putin as the savior of Ukrainian democracy is laughable.

Portraying Putin as the savior of Ukrainian democracy is laughable.

What's laughable is that you think Ukraine has been a democracy or free country since 2014.

Ukraine is the least free country in Europe.

The Ukrainian people rose up against Yanukovych

He got more than 70% of the vote in Crimea, Donetsk and Lugansk and was absolutely removed from office ILLEGALLY.

The people in those regions were under NO OBLIGATION to remain part of Ukraine after he was driven out of office and persecuted and killed by Ukrainian nationalists.

But, you're so devoid of moral compass, you don't give a damn that the people there were being persecuted and killed. You're a sociopath.

But, get this through your think skull, the people in the annexed region are now part of Russia by their own choice and aren't going back to being part of Ukraine. And, there isn't anything that change that fact.

So, whether you like it or don't like, start learning to live with that reality.
