I hope Trump can stop every last minute contract for review. We really need to reduce the time between when an election is held & the new occupant takes office. All activity of this sort should stop once someone new is ready to come in.

What does Grok have to say?

Fascism, in the context of its relationship with corporations and news media, is often discussed through the lens of historical definitions and contemporary interpretations:

Historical Definition: Benito Mussolini, who is credited with coining the term "fascism," described it as the merger of state and corporate power. Posts on X often cite his definition, "Fascism should more properly be called corporatism because it is the merger of state and corporate power." This implies a symbiotic relationship where corporate interests and state power are intertwined to the extent that they become indistinguishable, often at the expense of individual freedoms.

Media as Propaganda: In this view, news media under fascism serves as a tool for state propaganda, controlled or heavily influenced by corporate-state alliances. Historical examples include how media in fascist regimes like Nazi Germany was used to propagate state ideology. Posts on X suggest that mainstream media can act as the "propaganda arm of the State," echoing Mussolini's vision of everything within the government's control.

Modern Interpretations: In contemporary discussions, there's a sentiment that when news media and corporations align too closely with political power, especially in ways that suppress dissent or manipulate public opinion, this can be seen as a form of fascism or corporatism. This perspective is particularly highlighted in debates over media censorship, where social media platforms, backed by corporate interests, are accused of censoring content in ways that favor certain political narratives or suppress others.

Criticism and Debate: The accusation or interpretation of fascism in relation to media and corporate collusion is highly controversial. Critics argue that labeling any corporate-media relationship as fascist dilutes the term's historical significance and might ignore the nuances of media ownership, regulatory environments, and journalistic ethics. Defenders of this view might argue that the control over information and narrative by a corporate-media complex can lead to outcomes that resemble fascist tactics of control and propaganda.

Current Discussions: Trends on X show ongoing debates about media freedom, corporate influence in journalism, and political control over media narratives, particularly in relation to political figures and upcoming elections. These discussions often reflect concerns about the erosion of press freedom and the potential for media to be used to further corporate and political agendas over public interest.

In summary, the relationship between fascism, corporations, and news media, as discussed today, often revolves around concerns about control over information, censorship, and the alignment of media narratives with corporate and political power. However, these discussions are nuanced, and the term 'fascism' is used both as a critique of current systems and as a historical comparison. The actual manifestation of this relationship can vary widely by context, country, and the specific dynamics between media, corporate entities, and the government.

Well, in defense of the Pentagon, their minuscule spending on Western Media pays HUGE DIVIDENDS as we see in the Ukraine War, with most of the US convinced that the only reason for the war was Putin waking up in a bad mood on Feb 24th, 2022, and now most of the Western public convinced that a nuclear attack is no big deal. They’ve totally flipped the country on that as I’m able to recall the days that the Left actually didn’t want a nuclear war.

This is a colossal scandal that should put Reuters out of business.

Let’s see how fast the story disappears.

--- "Tax dollars propping up fake MSM to spread propaganda to American citizens."

Specifically DoD is paying a family-owned CANADIAN company for "news."

"Thomson Reuters Corporation (/ˈrɔɪtərz/ ⓘ ROY-tərz) is a Canadian multinational content-driven technology conglomerate.[4] The company was founded in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and maintains its headquarters at 19 Duncan Street there.[5] Thomson Reuters was created by the Thomson Corporation's purchase of the British company Reuters Group on 17 April 2008.[6] It is majority-owned by The Woodbridge Company, a holding company for the Thomson family of Canada."

The manipulation of the public by media has been a main goal of this sort of thing, to include "influencers" as sponsored by the Biden administration, and, in the Lefty Chomsky vocabulary, "manufacturing consent." Remember the "Nudge" as proposed by an Obama acolyte, Sunstein? Nudge. Manipulate. Control.

That’s EXACTLY what these tax dollars are doing: manufacturing consent among American voters to support whatever war agenda the war machine spews out.

Great summary, WT. Nailed it!

All Federal contracts can be suspended or canceled if the President declares a national emergency.

All Trump needs to do is declare that the US debt has created a national emergency and then direct all contracts suspended or canceled.

The US Military has had a social media content for a long time.

I was on Twitter (X) for 15 years. No longer allowed there.

Just the tip of the iceberg of waste, fraud and corruption. The waterfall of similar stories that DOGE will come out after Trump gets into office will stun the public.

The true depths of the DC Swamp are about to be revealed.
