Money-grubbing parasites, the whole bunch of them. With our money too!
Handouts to their mega donors before President Trump restores fiscal sanity. January 20th cannot arrive soon enough!

Big Pharma ad revenue makes up 75% of all the earnings for mass media and news outlets. So don't expect any level of professional journalism. My wife calls it "News, with a very long list of side effects and debilitating resulting diseases"

Just turn it off.

“”Big Pharma ad revenue makes up 75% of all the earnings for mass media and news outlets.””

Those ads sure do dominate for sure.

PS - your wife is very clever...

Taking the bribes, ummmm I mean fees away from the pharmacy benefit managers. They decide what can be covered and how much things can cost. Corruption!

Big Pharma has blessed us with many wonderful drugs for mankind. They have also blessed us with false studies and political corruption of the FDA. Thus bad drugs were foisted on us with little repercussion to big pharma except the occasional fine that could be tens of millions of dollars and more. They quietly paid and business continued as normal. With money and grants to the FDA they have corrupted the agency that is supposed to protect us. That agency failed its purpose.

The ultimate sin is when the Pharma companies hid data that shows ill effects of their new drug and then bring it to market with tragic consequences, Vioxx is one. In 2011, Merck & Co. paid $950 million to resolve criminal and civil charges related to the promotion and marketing of Vioxx, a painkiller that was later withdrawn from the market:

:

It was a very effective drug. It caused heart failure and death in some. Merck hid the data from the studies. How many people know this? Merck paid the fine and business as usual continued.

As a retired clinical pharmacist I well remember the days when if Merck, Glaxo, Burroughs, Smith Kline French, Astra, Lilly, etc. said it we believed without question. Knowledgeable pharmacists no longer believe. Most of their products are good. Some are brought to market before adequate testing is done and harm happens. Then they lie and the FDA pretends not to see.

No worry...

The GOP is on alert...
As soon as they have a scheduled break from their perpetual circle-jerk, they will examine the issue...
