Items your tax dollars are being spent on: -$100,000 to study if tequila or gin makes sunfish more aggressive -Nearly $1M to study if cocaine makes Japanese quail more sexually promiscuous -$750,000 to study if the moon landing line was “One small step for Man” or “One small step for ‘A’ man”— the study was inconclusive.

” -$100,000 to study if tequila or gin makes sunfish more aggressive”
I don’t know about perch, but it works on Marines.
These “studies” are not about science. They are pay for supporters. You’d think that they’d at least make them something useful. The reason they don’t is because something useful would require actual work and actual science and the people getting the money probably don’t do either. They do either know, blow or otherwise contribute to the “right” people or organizations.
I watched and listened to the landing live.
Armstrong did NOT say “a man.”
Well, that’s not what I’m skeptical about.
So what were the results? Asking for a friend.
These are on death watch
National Public Radio/PBS propaganda?
Why are taxpayers having to fund this leftwing programming? It’s time to kill Big Bird once and for all. Let them solicit voluntary funds if they want to stay on the air, not feed at the public trough.
Also, save the taxpayers a considerable sum of money by axing all the extra IRS agents hired by Joe BiteMe.
“Lateral transfer” is simpler.
They already had weapons training, send them to the border as ICE agents.
If they are DEI and Fey, give them the desk jobs and release the real agents back into the field.
These lists of wasteful spending appear every so often, but nothing is ever done about it. The crazy spending goes on and on, and it even gets worse.
Some questions about how this will actually work:
1. The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) does not yet exist. Can the Executive branch just make up a new department without Congressional approval?
2. Once DOGE has been put in place, can it go back and rescind expenditures already approved by Congress?
3. Would the DOGE have veto power over what Congress decides to spend money on?
I was shocked to find out NPR is really only about 150 employees.
All the “shows” could easily be moved to Netflix and the rest gone.
Trump announces Musk, Ramaswamy will lead newly-created Department of Government Efficiency
President-elect Donald Trump announced Tuesday that billionaire Elon Musk and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy will head up a new temporary agency known as the Department of Government Efficiency.
Trump in a statement said the two “will pave the way for my Administration to dismantle Government Bureaucracy, slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure Federal Agencies - Essential to the ‘Save America’ Movement.”
Trump seemed to suggest that Musk and Ramaswamy might not formally join the government, explaining that the two would “provide advice and guidance from outside of Government, and will partner with the White House and Office of Management & Budget to drive large scale structural reform, and create an entrepreneurial approach to Government never seen before.”

DOGE is a scam.
The best guy I know outlining the very ugly underbelly of what’s going on right now is David Knight:
