What is RNC doing or not doing with re: Kari Lake AZ count and others?
Vanity

This extended counting into oblivion cannot become normalized.

Lara Trump has definitely stepped it from prior leadership but I wonder if there is going to be a bit of dropping the ball now with all the down ballot stuff and more focus on Trump transition.

Let’s hope someone is watching the remaining house seat contests still up for grabs. If the dems steal those for a majority they can stymie Trump.

Arizona is the worst state in the union at counting votes. Dead last. It's been that way for the last 20 years and they can't get it together.

Having said that, Kari Lake was a terrible GOP Senate candidate. I can cut all the Kari Lake FR comments from 2022 and paste them now and nobody would know the difference.

Which is too bad. This was an easily winnable Senate seat and the GOP threw it away. Thankfully, the excellent McCormick in PA helped make up for it.

Kari Lake is a fighter. Admirable. Unfortunately you need people like Jeff Flake to win. Gallego is way out there. Sienema at least came through on one or 2 occasions. She paid the price. I’d offer her an ambassadorship. Same with Mancin.

______

Not really, CA and now AK are worse.
The system is just screw up. Somehow we adopted CA style procedures. Terrible!

The system is pleasing lazy voters, but it is impossible to administer. And very prone to error or fraud!

Except for Lara’s brief and encouraging remarks earlier in the day, Trump’s campaign is not giving public attention to these matters.

I recommend both patience & prayer.

We wouldn’t want Jeff Flake anywhere near the Senate ever again.

We may learn the winners in a few months.

I’m so old that I remember when we could hand count paper ballots and get the results done in 12 hours or less.

But then we could also land men on the moon and return them home safely.
Technologies lost.

Not really, CA and now AK are worse.

I'd put CA 49th and AK 48th (they have to transport their ballots from the igloos to Juneau by dog sled). Arizona is always the worst, and not just Maricopa county, but most counties.

This doesn’t have anything to do with lazy voters:

ah, thank you. Yes you’re right. I was aware as much that Lara is “co-chair.” Praying for RNC to be in good hands moving forward into midterms and 2028. The fight never ends. Ball can never drop.

Kari Lake is like Kamala Harris. After listening to her for 30 seconds, you know she's not cut out for politics. Nancy Pelosi is a terrible person with disastrous policies, but she's a good politician. Back in the Italian renaissance, the acute Machiavelli discovered this distinction when he wrote The Prince.

AZ, NV, CA have ridiculous numbers of mail in ballots, like 80-90% and their antiquated rules don't allow any prep work on ballots received until Election night (unlike Florida). And, they even allow ballots to come in after Election day (also unlike Florida).

There are live cameras of the ballot counting in Maricopa, which you can find here and they are painfully slow.
