Mark Halperin's predictions for incoming Trump Administration
twitter/X ^ | 11/6/24 | Mark Halperin

Posted on 11/06/2024 1:36:05 PM PST by jeannineinsd

I will have more to say about everything soon, but I’m going to put aside my normal rule about not making predictions to make some (knowing I might be wrong….):

1. As I wrote a few days ago on http://foxnews.com, the Democratic Party, lacking clear agreement about why Trump won and lacking an obvious once-in-a-generation talent to lead them back, is going to be at Trump’s mercy for a good long while.

2. Trump’s government will be filled with a lot of senior officials who will reassure Wall Street, foreign capitals, and a lot of Trump haters (at least the ones with open minds).

3. Trump will at the start have an enormous amount of influence over Congress, from leadership elections to the legislative agenda.

4. The Dominant Media won’t come close to taking responsibility for their role in helping Trump win, won’t fire those whose bias and incompetence has been on display for as long as a decade, won’t take the steps necessary to understand the Trump movement, and won’t reorient for the next four years in any meaningful way.

5. None of the Democrats who some pined for in 2024 to be their presidential nominee will play a significant role in trying to shape the party or the nation.

6. When honest political scientists study the dimensions of Trump’s win, they will realize that Trump’s remaking of the Republican Party in 2016 (turning it into a white working-class party) was nothing compared to what happened this time – turning it into a Black, Hispanic, white, young, independent working-class party.

7. Trump will, in fact, end the Ukraine war, safeguard Israel’s security, increase energy production, decrease regulations, cut taxes, control the Mexico border, conduct a mass deportation, and change a myriad of social policies.

8. The remarkable achievement of Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita will be adequately appreciated in some quarters, but not in others.

9. As already predicted, we will now see the largest mental health crisis in American history, as tens of millions of Americans – and many of the nation’s liberal cultural institutions, including Hollywood – can’t handle the truth about what happened and why.

10. The Lincoln Project leaders will do even less soul searching than the newsroom denizens of the Washington Post and New York Times.

11. The stories of how Kamala Harris became the Democratic nominee, the pasts of Harris and Doug Emhoff, the coverup of Joe Biden’s loss of mental acuity, and how the attempts to keep Trump off the ballot, lawfare, and other anti-democratic efforts aimed at stopping Trump ironically backfired will only be told if the right people get the right book deals.

12. We won’t know who has the House majority anytime soon.

Mark Halperin, former ABC news and MSNBC commentator, (before he lost his job due to Me Two allegtions) made some's comments on last night's election results. I have been sporadically listening to his 2Way podcast.

I like his optimism on point #7, that Trump will accomplish what he has promised to do. Trump will, in fact, end the Ukraine war, safeguard Israel’s security, increase energy production, decrease regulations, cut taxes, control the Mexico border, conduct a mass deportation, and change a myriad of social policies.

He’s still doing a little covering himself, very benign comment on Selzer’s Iowa poll : “every pollster going to have a bad poll 1 in 20.” Meanwhile , Richard Baris revealed his contact close to her operation had said the day before it came out:” I’m going to drop a bomb in that SOB’s lap.” I believe Pobosiec said, “ she wanted to give the Democrats some hopium, and they ran with it.”

Is this guy supposed to be a thought-leader?

I wouldn’t trust him as far as I can spit!

Warning DOJ and other Biden regime weaponized Government agencies!

Running the shredders at too high a speed today might cause fires. Be sure to shred responsibility!

I think he’s also going to bring about a closure to the situation in Gaza...and that closure will yes include safeguards for Israel. But, I’m wondering how that is going to play in Dearborn and among Somali Muslims in Minnesota? The many endorsements he received from Muslim American leaders, and Arab American leaders, especially in the last ten days, was stunning.

I feel like I’m pretty well versed on the international workings of the various Islamic sects, and the various petro states, and with their various relationships with Israel.

Yet, I was surprised that Trump was able to get some of the Gulf States to become much more normalized with Israel. That surprised me.

I feel like I’m missing something here. I’m hoping someone here can help me understand what helped these groups come out so strong for him, and how any resolution that he helps bring about in Gaza will be received by them.

Thank you to anyone who can help me understand this.

Always and ever with the division.

I like Halperin, the Independent journalist. He’s calling balls and strikes.

To his #4, absolutely agree that the MSM will continue to ride the dying horse til it finally keels over underneath them. They’ll see their role as “the resistance” and stay as snotty and swampy as ever. BUT I think their obsolescence will be greatly accelerated by Election 2024. We’ve seen proof that despite throwing everything they have at Trump, We the People ignored them and voted for him in greater numbers than 4 years ago.

We’re seeing another Great Replacement: The MSM is being replaced by podcasters like Joe Rogan, Megyn Kelly, Tucker Carlson, and Mark Halperin who will offer more depth and breadth plus the convenience of online streaming and an interactive format that is what people prefer nowadays.

Halperin has been the most accurate reporter in this election cycle, and now he succeeds or fails based on his own reputation, not under the shelter of a corporate network entity.

I really hope Trump doesn’t miss this opportunity to pass fundamental federal election reform.

He is the victim of our current system and no one knows better than him why it should be reformed.

Proof of citizenship should be required to register to vote, and ID should be required to vote, by federal law.

I don't think Trump did this so much as the Democrats did this, with their constant, on-going pillaging of productive people (of any gender and skin color), driving them into revolt. Trump was just the obvious solution that presented itself, and he was smart enough to not screw it up like RINOs did in years prior.

I started watching Halperin a couple of weeks ago and expected the worst. But to my surprise he has been really fair and unbiased.

I don’t “trust” him - he is a journalist after all. His podcast does sometimes have good points and I did appreciate this list from a former MSNBC commentator.

I agree that the MSM is being replaced. They don’t get a dime from me, I cut the cord to cable years ago. I rely on Free Republic, podcasts, and conservative blogs like Powerline and Redstate for my news.
