I’ve seen some videos of him without the beard and he has a chubby baby face. The beard suits him. He looks better with it.
It was mentioned to me the night of the debate by an older retired (conservative) woman photographer that subliminally people have a bias against beards because they hide the face. Although facial hair is a fad now with the metrosexual look, people subconsciously associate clean-shaven with honesty. The reason why many sales teams enforce it as a dress code.

In Central NU (Upstate) there were a number of men who sported breads.
Here in NH, it is VERY common. But most of them are not kept as neat as Vance’s.
Vance wears his bread VERY well. It helps when you’re handsome anyways, but also, he keep it very neat and has a very tidy haircut as well.
If the biggest criticism of his appearance is him having a bread, well, it speaks very well of him.
Between that and his professional, unflappable demeanor, it looks like Trump has picked a VP that makes him far more assassination resistant. I suspect the left would be pooping themselves over the thought of a Vance presidency.
Beard? Oh, they are referring to facial hair, not a “beard” like Michelle is rumored to be for Barry Obama.

My daughter is getting married tomorrow. I haven’t met all the guys who are standing up yet but so far every man in the wedding party, the groom, the ushers, both dads have beards.

The de-bearding of Western males was driven by the military use of, and the prophylactic against, poison gas first used in WWI.....gas masks require a clean shave to seal properly.
Prior to this effeminate affectation.....beards were the very definition of masculinity.
Many men now shave their entire bodies as well....a womanish practice that American chicks themselves started only with the widespread use of silk stockings and sleeveless blouses.
Bikini’s required further trimming until a 100% clear cut is now normal.
Now most women glisten like slicked down naked mole rats.
