I’m trying to keep a positive line of thinking here - but we’ve been disappointed in the past by a few GOP VP candidates.
In ‘96, Jack Kemp was supposed the be a better debater and stronger speaker than Al Gore. By the end of the debate, Kemp looked like a boxer who had taken a few too many hard hits to the head during the match.
In 2012, Paul Ryan was supposed to be a better debater and strong speaker than Joe Biden. By the end, Biden had thoroughly ruled him and completely knocked Ryan off his game.
Let’s not assume anything here for tuesday night.
