I contend it’s not a wise decision, he could have played out the year, filed a lawsuit and get award damages if he wins, now he will be known as a quitter and have issues getting into a good program next season.
As I told another poster on FR, they’re over 80 other guys on the team, were they getting shortchanged as well, none of them have quit, either they are getting nothing which is highly unlikely, or they are getting paid what was promised.
Unless there is a written contract, we don’t really know the full story.
If he continued to play, he’d use up all his eligibility. He can transfer and get another year. He’s the 27th rated QB based on QBR. He won’t have a problem finding another school. Another school will understand He is getting screwed and won’t hold it against him.
Maybe UNLV overplayed their hand and Will come through with the promised money.
