A “no name” storm devastated North Carolina on Monday, washing away roads and cutting off entire towns after seemingly no warning.

Footage shared on social media by storm chaser Aaron Jayjack showed carnage in Southport, N.C. following a sudden and historic deluge of rainfall, powerful enough to wash out bridges, according to AccuWeather. Photos shared by residents and reporters alike show the infrastructural catastrophes that quite literally sprung up as many people were driving home from work on Monday night, locals tell the Daily Caller.

An estimated 18.32 inches of rain fell throughout the county by Monday afternoon as extreme weather systems continuously slammed into the coastline, sending flash floods and storm surges throughout southern N.C, Axios noted.

A state of emergency was issued in Brunswick County after the town of Southport closed all inbound roads to nonemergency traffic, according to WUNC. (RELATED: Wild Footage Shows Carolina Beach Swamped Under Estimated 15 Inches Of Rain)

“From Carolina Beach into Southport and into the Boiling Springs Lake community, there were some homes and businesses that received flood damage, anywhere from one to two feet of water entered some of those structures,” National Weather Service meteorologist Tim Armstrong told the outlet. “Also, some wind damage along the coast, where we did see wind gusts in excess of 60 miles per hour.”

So the meterologists were suprised at the intensity of this storm. Advanced warnings of the storm were not issued and local residents were not prepared for the onslaught of a ridiculous amount of rain.

And they want to tell us how the climate will be in 100 years.

And they want to tell us how the climate will be in 100 years.

We will never control the climate. We can keep our water and land clean and that should be our focus.

this only proves the climate crisis is real, now even no name storms are so powerful that we cannot deny climate change is real and happening... and man made.

If ONLY we had a bipartisan “infrastructure bill,” we could have rebuilt all of our bridges and roads by now.

We live here in Central NC in the path of the storm. The storm was messy, as all storms are, but hardly devastating.

“We will never control the climate.”

That is, other than the way they’re currently controlling it. Funny how they don’t make that part clear to us.

It’s a Mercedes G-Wagon. AMG on the back and the tri-star on the spare cover.

Joe Bastardi talked about this storm on the Weatherbell site this past Saturday. He seems to be more accurate than the NWS.

you would think that detonating a nuclear bomb inside the eye of a hurricane could dissipate it— quite the contrary, a typical hurricane release the equivalent of a 20 megaton bomb worth of heat energy every 10 minutes. So our most powerful weapon would have absolutely no effect on a storm. What makes us think we can do anything else. The scales and numbers are just too big, compared to us

And so now they’ll be condemned for NOT warning people.

If they warn people and it doesn’t happen, they’re condemned.

If they don’t warn people and it happens, they are condemned.

If they warn people and it happens, ho hum, and people forget in days.

All people focus on is the times they were wrong.

Meteorologists just can’t win.

I’m sure it depends on where you are in relation to the worst part of the storm.

That said, if you could send some rain our way (NH) it would be greatly appreciated.

What makes us think we can do anything else.

The Western mountains were pushed by tectonic plates, literally lifting entire mountain ranges. That's some power.
