NO! Steve Garvey is 75 Years Old for goodness sake, where are the new young Leaders? No one wants to step up in California, so unfortunately we will not experience proper “Sacramento” change here in my lifetime. I refuse to be forced out of the state I grew up in though, that’s not happening.

The Dodgers went with Mike Marshall when Garvey’s contract was up and he was in his mid-30’s. Marshall was a failure and a head case to boot.

Orange County used to be heavily Republican. I think it still leans conservative but not as much as it used to. I remember when California was at the vanguard of grassroots conservatism. Proposition 13 was revolutionary for its time (1978) for reigning in property taxes.
I lived in L.A. County for two years (1991-1993). Bruce Herschensohn’s Senate run in 1992 was the last time a conservative Republican had a reasonable chance of winning a statewide election. Commie lowlife Barbara Boxer squeaked out a victory by refusing to debate Herschensohn and through a well funded ad campaign that lied about him. It’s been downhill for California conservatives ever since.

By the time I was in middle school, 50+ years ago, I knew dead people voted.
That’s about the same time I discovered William F. Buckley Jr. on Firing Line. Been a conservative ever since!

It’s probably going to require the federal government to step in and clean up California’s act (e.g. clean up its elections, prosecute corruption, put an end to sanctuary policy both local and statewide, etc.) and that’s only going to happen if Trump gets elected. California is too far gone to reform itself.

If we succeed in restoring our republic, I’ll bet we find that what we have in fact are 50 red states controlled by 50 blue, aka Deep State legislatures.
In which case, we’d better prepare for the long haul even if Trump makes it back into the WH.
Because Deep State will still control Congress, the SCOTUS and most of the judiciary, every state legislature, and the bureaucracy.

Back in the mid-80s, I back-packed through Europe spending time with family.
My cousin who lived in a communist country was the president of a bank, his wife the vice-principal of school.
My apartment as a student was bigger than his!!!!
His Dad was an electrician, his wife was a school
teacher. They lived in a tiny apartment
(My Dad was an electrician and my mom stayed at home. We had a 4 bedroom home.)
They lived in a mansion that was divided into multiple 35’ X 45’ apartment. Their living room was also their kitchen and their kids bedroom when he was a kid.
Their shower was down the hall. Their phone, two stories down.
