As former President Donald Trump was leaving Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes he was asked why he hasn’t endorsed Steve Garvey in his race against Adam Schiff for U.S. Senate. This was his response.

In California, running against the traitorous slimeball Schiffty, Garvey’s probably better off without Trump’s endorsement.

JMO - Garvey never going to win as a luke warm Republican....

That's the only chance he has to win. A MAGA Republican has zero chance in a state as blue as California, and we need every seat we can get. Even Larry Hogan is better than a Few.ocrat in Maryland because he'll at least vote for a GOP majority leader in the Senate.

Hogan is mixed pro-abortion and refuses to endorse Trump, but Alsobrooks (his opponent) runs ads portraying hims as full-out MAGA.

Hogan is a RINO to his core, but he did do a few good things as Governor and he is obviously preferable to the Democrat.

It can’t hurt. Hogan should make an ad with Manchin.

In California, having Trump’s endorsement may be a losing strategy. Harris will probably have a margin of 3-3.5 million votes there, maybe more. I think Garvey is toast no matter how he plays it, but given CA’s imbalance in voter registration, his approach is understandable.

Garvey needs MAGA if he seriously wants to win. Watch here as hundreds of Trump supporters rally in Little Saigon and then form a car convoy to Beverly Hills, where they are greeted with wild enthusiasm. To have any chance of beating Adam Schff, Garvey needs to embrace the MAGA crowd and utilize this enthusiasm.

“If CA is such a blue state, why does Deep State have to steal its elections?”

####################

If nothing else, large margins in CA ensure that the gross national popular vote goes to the Dems. That becomes their fuel for doing away with the Electoral College.

It seems to me that if Garvey has any shot at winning he needs to find an issue or issues that unite Californians across party lines. It’s difficult to find such issues these days but I think part of Youngkin’s success was tied to his focus on education and parental rights issues that appealed to not only Republicans but a significant number of Independents and Democrats.

He should also focus on Schiff’s character (or lack thereof). He doesn’t even have to get too political in doing so. Just highlight how Schiff repeatedly used his position in Congress to deliberately spread false information. His repeated lies, regardless of what he was lying about are a matter of character the transcends, or should transcend, politics.

Garvey is 30 points behind in the polls. He hasn’t campaigned at all to my knowledge. I got one mailer from him that talked about his baseball career. He also had a long vacation in Mexico.
It’s sad that California has no real Republicans of substance to run anymore.

There is no endorsement Garvey betrayed the Dodgers when he signed with the Pads.

What he meant is that California mails a ballot to all voters, whether they request one or not.

You can still go vote in person if you choose. But you are mailed a ballot whether you intend to vote by mail or not.

Sounds like the right play to me. If he reached out to Trump, then maybe a lukewarm endorsement. He said he didn’t know him, but if he did reach out he could say, he seems like a nice guy and I dislike Schiff, which is essentially what he did. I bet Garvey doesn’t want his endorsement.

Is he losing in the polls?

If so, then he needs to request the endorsement. Trump might even come out and campaign for him

Yeah things have changed since then..California will unfortunately never go Republican again..not because of illegals, its because of far left loons who have taken over LA county and of course the San Francisco bay area, the rest is pretty conservative but since LA County and Northern California have the biggest population we cant overcome that

California pioneered American style, insider, democrat, one-party voter fraud

bloated, dirty rolls forever being fed by “automatic” registrations

Mass mail-in ballots. Everyone on the list gets a ballot!

government-funded leftist social organizations and NGOs to manage the fraud

Weeks long election season. Give the criminals time to work

3rd person ballot harvesting

Sacramento has recently done two things.

Had the state go all mail-in.

And make it almost impossible to audit elections.

The Fed has to stop the cheating. First order of business under Trump.

Yes he’s running behind Schiff. Here’s the RCP average on the race.
