Springfield is a small town, out of the Columbus-Cincinnati-Cleveland news mainstream. This grotesque situation has been in the Cleveland news but so far no sign of general outrage. We’ll see.
Brown has been advertising heavily in the Cleveland/Akron market, portraying many misleading claims and outright lies about accomplishments and positions despite his record as a do-nothing senator; hitting hard at Moreno for alleged legal problems related to labor disputes with his business. Moreno is running a decent campaign so far, with positive ads about his MAGA positions and his endorsement by Trump.
Haven’t seen any polling data, which is a good sign. Based on many years of watching Ohio politics close up, I say it’s anybody’s race, and Brown has every chance of winning.
Republican is closing fast.
