Not? because Kamala’s ahead depending who you believe.
I agree. The winning strategy is to be the party of people who work for a living, especially in the private sector.
I am too. He's absolutely right - with the exception of the Neo-con wing of the GOP who want cheap labor and who embrace social positions that play well at elite cocktail parties but don't reflect what the general populace thinks.
Yes, starting with Clinton the Democrats moved towards a more corporatist alignment with government. It is borderline fascism by the dictionary definition, where large industry and government work hand in hand and scratch each others back. And now look at who gets ostracized - people, groups and corporations that don’t “play ball” get lawfare, they get sanctions, they get investigations, they get calls for censorship. Musk/X/Twitter is a prime example though Trump is too. Mike Lindell Even Fox News. It’s not enough to just disagree openly with vigorous debate - they want them censored or deplatformed or regulated out of business or thrown in prison or heavily fined. Or all of the above. Trump and his aides and allies have been persecuted beyond belief, set up (some successfully some not), entrapped, jailed, fined. All really just for being aligned with Trump, but under some minor pretext or process crime. The media and the administrative state have been put to use to protect the interests of the state and to damage or destroy opposing interests.
None of this helps the average American. It actively subverts their freedoms and opportunities in big and small ways every day, some obviously and some indirectly. It hurts them economically and drives some people into the shadows.
I don’t think “GOP” (trade mark) is for working class, Trump clearly supports some policies which reduce federal corruption and overreach.
We have a long road to restoring freedom and protections for the working class. There’s so much wrong right now I’d vote for a fire hydrant if only to stop this train wreck to totalitarianism.
Having affordable healthcare (not government care) would be an ambitious future prospect.
well. not quite an inversion. this is basically establishment uniparty/deepstate against the working class American and it has been that way since the upstart Goldwater candidacy manifested the growing divide between the elite ruling-class political class and We the People.
so now there’s the uniparty consisting of the deepstate, neo-cons, globalists, of both parties, etc.
then there’s the working class part of the gop and the dem parties that the RR skillfully managed to hijack as a Goldwater Republican.
the evil bush one clawed it all back for the uniparty getting elected on RRs coattails, only to be challenged as a fraud and exposed by the independent Perot. Trump came along after obie and basically tapped in to the Reagan Perot working class coalition to shock the dems and hillary in 2016.
the empire then struck back in 2020 by stealing the election in our faces. they are about to pull the same thing again. that’s where we stand at the moment.
They have. Its both abandonment of the democraps and understanding by Republicans.
It is the party of normies.
