Airline tickets to another country where you have the right of abode.
“Lots of ammunition” — but no weapons?
Since I am well prepared including for winter outdoor work and sleeping without heat and keeping my liquids and canned goods from freezing in blackouts, I recently prepared for a new winter blackout angle, being comfortable in an unheated house while sitting and reading or playing cards.
Any prepper has his jackets and gloves, but what about comfortable gear for around the house, things such as wool socks and comfortable snow boots, one of those wearable sherpa blankets, long johns and warm pants etc. but not for outdoors, but for lounging around the house in pretty sedentary activities.
Invest in a couple thousand Bic lighters. They will trade better than gold.
I was in Germany on an old steam ship in the middle of a very cold winter. We lost power. I slept in my diving wet suit under my blankets.
The author is a “dooms day” opportunist.
I have most all what he recommends as I live
in Hawaii, one of the most hazardous places in the world
SOMETIMES.
Most city people can’t possibly do what he recommends.
My list would be much shorter;
don’t live in Democrat run cities.
Work there, make your money there,
but don’t live there.
Buy Scriptos, they are less expensive and you get 7 in a pack. I buy 10 packs at a time every couple of months
And bourbon.
Lots of bourbon.
I have enough ammo, food, and medical supplies to make it to at least one dust-up. I have zero illusions that I will survive that encounter so I am not worried.
And if I do... I’ll worry about it then.
Can she cook rice properly?
I would stick with Bics, they actually work.
Its disappointing to not see any mention of Antibiotics and anti-viral medications. IMHO Cipro, Doxy, Augmentin and Ivermectin in large quantities and expiration dates that are minimum 3 years out should always be on hand.
Cold is brutal, one way to weed out the weak in the military is keep them wet and cold, it breaks men down.
Who give a crap what you want SCRIPTOS work fine
No they don’t, they are junk and undependable, for your survival gear make sure that you buy Bic lighters.
Here is an example of what I found with Scripto lighters, I threw away at least a dozen.

Pretty good list and it’s good to see him add emergency medical kits and vitamins.
However, OTC meds and any prescription meds you can stock pile could be critical. Also, get any dental work done that’s needed, any elective surgery that you consider important (like cataracts, carpal tunnel, trigger finger), and get as recent a new script for glasses.
Also, shoes and boots. Good winter gear for the north. Books and games, and sewing supplies to mend clothes.
