Yes, the heart type stuff is weird when you are young and first hear about teen sports stars dying but the exertion exposes those things, in my case it was a blow that caused the damage which is sad also, but rare.

It is all part of the natural process to weed out the weak which in a modern society doesn’t serve any purpose like it would in a society of warfare but young males need to do what they have to do and dying doing rough stuff that you like isn’t so bad, especially if it resulted from a hidden physical flaw that didn’t match your aggressive spirit for life anyway.

I thought you were going to show us a football play.   I haven't a clue about soccer.   If they are worried about hits causing concussions wear football helmets.

Agreed. Even a professional athlete can only do so much while in mid-air at full speed. Terrible indeed, but it doesn’t look any more deliberate than many other collisions in a rough contact sport at this level of play.

It’s not much of a bio, but it’s true.

I don’t know why the guy in black and whitebwas jumping up? It looks like he was in the air before the other guy kicked the ball, so it wasn’t because he was trying to catch or block the ball high in the air, as the ball went low.

Overall, it looks to me like the guy did just jump onto the other guy.

But I know nothing about rugby!

Doesn’t even look like an especially hard hit. Nothing that looks malicious.

I’m discussing AFL now and this hit with Aussie mate on our beer night in Tokyo. I couldn’t remember the details of the story, but fortunately I commented, so I could find the article.

My mate thought I must talking about Jason Winderlich, but we got it sorted now.
