I won’t be surprised, at all, if Biden does eventually show his face - and say everything they want him to.
Beyond a small number of days, it won’t mean anything, to me, at least. It will just mean that he has been worked on, intensely, for this final task.
I agree. But those calling it a “Palace Coup” are probably close. Unless Biden really did have some kind of medical emergency in Vegas - something other than Covid - maybe a mild stroke etc. He’s been under a lot of stress. And yes he’s been stage managed this whole time so whatever statement he makes will be well rehearsed.
The series of events are suspicious, though. First, an early debate scheduled late at night (for him) - they let him go out on stage looking gaunt, pale, unkempt. I said at the time, why no stage makeup at least? He looked like a ghost. It may have been a test if he could pull it off. The party just wants power they could manage Biden if he were remotely capable. But he failed the test, and dropped in the polls and so they moved on to stage two - showing that he can’t win. Notice his letter says “good of the party” before “good of the country”. That bit bothered me but it’s my personal peeve it’s always about the party and the party acting in concert from municipal prosecutors to state legislatures up to DC all party hacks. Anyway, Biden seemingly fought back against those seeking to oust him and we get this rumor of an alleged 25th Amendment threat. Then this medical/Covid thing and the video of him needing help just getting into the car - which if it is Covid is possible given his frailty but it’s definitely something. Then this strange announcement not on TV to the media, but via letter on X that looks suspicious on its own. Then this phone call. It’s a weird sequence of events with a lot of suspicious twists and turns.
Now supposedly he’ll be back at the WH today. I guess we’ll see.
