Exactly correct. The credulity of some people, even after all we've witnessed over the past several years -- e.g., the degree to which so much of our politics is completely made up, fake nonsense -- astounds me. One doesn't have to go full-blown "conspiracy theorist" in order to understand when they're being lied to.
I guess a lot of people are just comfortable with being lied to. Or are uncomfortable with the notion of just how bad things have gotten in this country.
They should buy a clue: it isn't "Morning Again in America," and it never, ever will be.
