I used to be like a squirrel. My brother and I used to compete on how high we could climb our nearby Douglas Fir trees. For the 40 foot ones, I would slide onto the limbs and go branch by branch down to the ground. After taking risks (like climbing microwave towers) on the job, I lost my daring nature.

According to a source who spoke with ABC News, Crooks did not use a ladder to get access to the roof. Nobody thought to guard the roof because they figured the only access was thru the inside of the building where there would be members of the tactical team. I’m sure being up there on that hot roof discouraged those from going up there. How Crooks figured out how to get up there with his rifle, without being detected, remains to be understood.
