At airports across the U.S., Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agents confront flyers as they are boarding flights and ask to search carry-on items.
These interactions are supposed to be consensual. But flyers often get the impression that they have no choice but to submit to a search.
IJ currently has a class action lawsuit against the DEA and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) over their unconstitutional searches and seizures at U.S. airports.

If the question is, “Can I search your bag,” the answer should always be “No.”
That DEA agent should be indicted, tried, convicted and sentenced for violated the citizen’s rights, and for giving aid and comfort to the domestic and foreign enemies of the United States. The punishment should be carried out in public.
I hope the next Trump Administration does something to rein these people in. He’d already been thru TSA security. They shouldn’t be able to stop someone at the airplane’s door & coerce them into a search. This guy said no, but then allowed it & still ended up missing his flight.
At least he got the video evidence of their methods.
This has been happening for years at the Atlanta airport. Atlanta PD has an entire unit dedicated to profiling people and searching ahem.
For the cops it can be a little bit of a cash cow through asset seizure and the suspect denying ownership.
All while the Southern border is totally open and the cartels are brazenly driving drugs into the country by the truck load.
Conservativemind, you are exactly right. Simply channel Nancy Reagan. [For those of you in Altalomaverde (or wherever Russ was speaking about), that means “Just say ‘No!’]

Best advice on the internet…..colorful language….not safe for work…..if you cringe hearing a certain for letter word that starts with F and ends with K, do not watch

“Rio Linda”
Details, details.....
Facts are such inconvenient things.

Just be aware of the consequences.
This stuff ends when:
Public servants are routinely imprisoned in general population at a maximum security prison for their crimes.
Public servants are held personally liable for their violations of citizens’ personal and property rights as protected under the Constitution and legislation.
Or, when something else happens.
We don’t want something else to happen.
that guy is a two bit pinko punk and doesn’t care about anything but his over bloated sense of self worth.
The Constitution and 4th amendment mean nothing to him.
“Just be aware of the consequences.”
What are the consequences?
Reason 101 why I don’t fly anymore.
The answer to the question of “may I search your luggage?” should be, “Do you have a warrant?”, the next response should be “am I under arrest?” and finally “am I free To go?”. If you are not free to go ask for a lawyer and keep your mouth shut.
Exactly right.
Another corrupt 3-letter agency.
I recall after 9/11 at almost all airports people were being pulled out of lines randomly to be questioned and/or searched. There was a big stink because the ragheads never were pulled.
If they persist it should then be followed by “let me call my attorney”.
