House Democrats have been called “traitors” as they prepare to wage war against Republicans over a bill requiring proof of U.S. citizenship to vote in a federal election.
The House Democratic leadership is urging its members to vote against the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act on the House floor, according to Axios.
Billionaire Elon Musk savaged those opposing the bill in a Friday post on his X social media platform.
“Those who oppose this are traitors. All Caps: TRAITORS What is the penalty for traitors again?” he said.

The SAVE Act — sponsored by Texas Republican Rep. Chip Roy — would require a voter to provide proof of citizenship such as a passport or birth certificate. Elections officials would be required to ask new voters about their citizenship at the time they register. Noncitizens would need to be purged from the rolls.
In a memo last week urging her fellow Democrats to oppose the bill, House Minority Whip Katherine Clark of Massachusetts claimed it would create an “extreme burden for countless Americans” and “further intimidate election officials and overburden states’ abilities to enroll new voters.”
The memo said Rep. Joe Morelle of New York — the top Democrat on the Administration Committee — “strongly opposes this bill as written.”
“It’s just another way of stopping people from voting,” Morelle said of the legislation, according to The New York Times. “I mean, they just continue to suppress the ability of people to vote.”
Meanwhile, Republicans issued a 22-page report in support of the legislation.

How in the H--- is that in anyway acceptable? "They" can go screw themselves....
Simple solution. Vote by cell phone. Here is how it works.
You download the app to your phone and your SS# is your ID and you create your own password. You are sent a text message to validate who you are. In the text message you get a list of 4 homes where you may have lived. You have to select the correct one.
On the backend, a database from the SS Administration populates a voters database with the key being SSN. When you vote, your SSN is crossed off the list so you cannot vote again. Now all votes by SS# are counted and everything else is dropped.
To vote, you bring up the app, validate who you are, and based on your zip code and county you get the ballot which applies to your local election initiatives and candidates. If nothing else is done, you just eliminated over 90% of possible cheating opportunities.
Best thing about this is the Democrats cannot claim voter suppression since “Obamaphones” provided those who would be suppressed by Republicans a way to communicate. Anyone with a cell phone can share their phone with others and as long as you have a SS# you can use any phone.
Democrats must band together to protect a President who isn’t there. Harris will not attract more votes. They are in a pickle.
All they do is cheat, and then put up poster board on the windows so you cannot watch them.
