I remember the riots of 1967-1968. Some fools put up sighs saying “THIS HOUSE IS NOT ARMED.” It did not lat long.
Others co-opted for the “SOUL BROTHER” signs.

I remember an old cartoon from back then. It shows an overweight white man loading a shotgun. His wife says...”For heaven’s sake George, can’t we just put up a ‘SOUL BROTHER’ sign like everyone else?”
