1) CNN's relatively even-handed debate was well outside the norm. I'm not aware of any new ownership nor management at CNN that would aim for a more neutral market position. The sterile debate environment and simulcast was also outside the norm. As far as I'm concerned, the intent was the exposure of Biden's limitations.
2) The overwhelming post-debate assessment concerns the Democrats' collective POV that Biden must essentially step down. Trump was effectively a prop, and were simply observers.
The debate didn't concern us directly.

Somebody else had posted that this was a very early date for a debate. But gives the DNC enough time to prep their real candidate for their convention.
If one takes the notion that this debate was planned to show Biden’s faults, no doubt their real candidate has already been selected, funded and ready to hit the campaign trail at full speed.

It will be interesting to see what happens when Democrats flood the system with fake votes for Biden.

That CNN, after the debate, “fact checked” DJT and said that nothing he said during the debate was true...

Obama of course knew that Biden's vanity required him to accept, but that his decline could easily lead him to self-destruct. If that happened early, the Democrats could retool, with Newsome their best choice. And with Newsome a Californian, that would bar Harris from the ticket as also a Californian. The VP slot can then be used to reward Hillary Clinton and draw in the Clinton circle of supporters.
The best laid plans and all that. Does Gabin Newson even want the slot when he can have a clean shot in 2028?
The Dems have brought the country to a very messy place because 1. Biden can’t and shouldn’t be president. 2. They can’t hand things over to Harris because she’s deeply unpopular. 3. So we are left with their internal political matters mattering more than the country.
Like, in a sane world, 25th amendment is used and that be that.
This idea of convincing Biden to step down: Can he even, does he have the ability to make that choice if we are saying he can’t campaign effectly/be president effectly?
I respectfully disagree. CNN was definitely biased, just not as brazen as we’ve become accustomed to. For example, there were more questions intended to box in Trump than Biden. The difference between last night and “normal” CNN was that when Trump wouldn’t take their bait and would answer the real issue of their questions instead of how they wanted him to answer, CNN didn’t pursue him further to discuss the issue on their terms like we expected.
The CNN Nazi’s were well behaved last night. It must have killed them.
I was shocked from the very first question how honest and fair CNN basically was.
It was so stunning that I think it even took “dark diaper brandon” a while to adjust to it also.

The Evil Party and their fully owned subsidiary The Mainstream Media were playing 4-D Chess, and (as is their character) the Stupid Party was playing, well, stupid.
Just had MSLSD on and right out the gate, Mika railing about Trump’s lies. I couldn’t stomach another minute of it. If others are brave enough to tune in, maybe she’ll spell out what all those lies are. I’d like to hear them but I couldn’t stomach watching another second.
