There's a difference. Obama was smooth because the press allowed him to be unchallenged. He didn't have to be smart, or quick with his ability to answer. And he was deemed wonderful by them even though he wasn't.
Vivek can go anywhere, be subjected to hostility, derision, and lies, yet he deals with it all very well. Comes across sharp, quick, undaunted, and almost always wins debate points with intelligence and that happy warrior demeanor.
He's quite good under fire. Obama never knew what fire was like since he experienced nothing difficult.
Yes... back when SNL was still funny they did a spot on how obsequious the press was to Obama at his debate vs Hillary... "would you like more water Senator".. "Is the temperature alright for you" It was hilarious. The press was disgusting with Obama. When I say Vivek is 'smooth like Obama' I mean more like he always seems to have the answer ready, without hesitation. He also knows what we want to hear...
