Commentary Magazine describes itself as a Jewish magazine of politics. Editors John Podhoretz and Abe Greenwald host a daily podcast with magazine writers and like minded guests.

Todays podcast mainly discussed the anti-Jewish riots in Los Angeles over the weekend.

At around the 31:35 mark they start talking about Jamal Bowman and his primary.

At around the 35:40 mark Abe Greenwald has this great quote about Jamal Bowman "There is this massive coordinated game of make believe going on between media and Democratic establishment. They are pretending that certain people are normal politicians."

At the 42 minute mark they discuss the Israeli Supreme Court voting that Orthodox men who have up to now been exempt from military service must now be drafted into the IDF.

This post is to share this quote. It really struck me as being an accurate description of what I see going on with my own eyes. It is much a much better way of describing my own observations, only I do not have a way with words.

He was talking about Jamal Bowman, but I extrapolate the quote to Joe Biden.

The Democrat party and the media are sharing in the game of make believe by stating or implying:

• Joe Biden is physically and mentally sharp enough to be President.
• Joe Biden is in no way responsible for the wars in Ukraine and Gaza. It just happened occur on his watch, that is all.
• Joe Biden and his massive government spending is not responsible for inflation.
• And there really is no inflation after all. People are stupid to think that inflation is a problem.
• There is no immigration crisis.

I will add that the editors at Commentary Magazine are Never-Trumpers who defended Biden up until the end of April/early May. The anti-Jewish protests on college campuses and Biden’s withholding of weapons to Israel made it impossible to continue defending Biden.

They no longer defend Biden but they are still not pro-Trump.

Clear acts of violence were on display in Los Angeles on Sunday and yet we see no action by the city, the state, or the federal government to hold the violent responsible for their actions—and federal law could not be clearer on this matter. What’s going on here? And why, on the cusp of his primary battle, did Rep. Jamaal Bowman effectively threaten to unleash the “South Bronx” when his district doesn’t include the South Bronx?
