The only thing that was ever good about the GOP were it’s voters. And that’s pretty much only since the 70’s, when working class religious voters defected from the Democrats, due to their disillusionment with the flag burning hippies.
No, actually there were good GOP politicians in the 19th century. Before the British crown took complete control of our government...and every other American institution.
The likes of the Bushes, Boehner, Ryan, McConnell are par for the course..GOP Establishment absolutely loathes it’s own the voters. Except the old school wealthy Connecticut Episcopalians who commute to Wall St and have wife swapping parties.
