If in 1869 the US Army had killed 200 Comanches while rescuing 4 white Americans who had been captured by the Comanches, very few Americans would have mourned the dead. "The only good Indian is a dead Indian" was the common attitude of the time.
We may be approaching the time when most Americans have that attitude towards Palestinians or even towards all Muslims, if we are not already there.
