The only non-senile explanation I could come up with is that there was equipment on the seat, and Biden was waiting on someone on the other side of the car to move them. The camera edge was in the middle of the vehicle so we will never know.
This is the president’s car. Who would leave piles of stuff, which they would have taken into the car? If they have piles of stuff, wouldn’t they have a briefcase?
