I keep saying that Republicans don't know how to manage the ambush "gotcha" questions.

And notice how Karl waited until the end of the segment to spring it on Scott, leaving him no time for in-depth answers?

Scott should have said:

Look, Jon. It's been four years now. I'm not going to relitigate the past. What's done is done. Congress investigated January 6, the DoJ is investigating January 6... I'm focusing on 2024 and I think you should be, too, instead of trying to create disunity in the Republican party by continuing to bring this up over and over and over.

Scott had plenty of time to anticipate and prepare for such questions. As you so aptly demonstrated, it would have been quite easy for him to give a statesman like deflection to this gotcha ambush.

Scott is such a babbling fool.
