Sad day for the country, a major party can do this
I don't know why everyone is surprised about this, an insatiable lust for power was, has, and always will be part of human nature.
That's why the Founders purposely designed our system to be as inefficient as possible, and why anyone elected official complains about not being able to get things done is not fit to serve.
