“All part of the evil game plan to keep Trump off the campaign trail. He will be told to stay in NY then on July 11 he will be sentenced to house arrest to keep him off the campaign trail.”
The first part of this prediction was wrong even before you posted. Judge Merchan could have set bail, but he didn’t. He released Trump on his own recognizance. Trump didn’t put up any bail money and he can travel anywhere he wants to. (He may have to come back to NY for one mandatory interview with a probation officer or someone else who makes a sentencing recommendation, but that’s all.)
As for the July 11 sentencing, here are my predictions:
1. Sentence will not include any prison time or any prohibition on Trump leaving New York.
2. If the sentence does include any such provision, that part will be stayed until the appeal is resolved.
3. The appeal will not be resolved until long after the election.
That all seems reasonable. The left has won this round. They have tagged Trump with being the first President found guilty of felonies.
Let’s see where it goes from here.
