Some people said Michael Flynn was guilty of perjury for pleading guilty to spare his son and then saying later he wasn’t guilty, which he wasn’t. In Flynn’s case he testified under oath that he was guilty of crimes (twice.) Again, under oath. “Yes, I swear I did this...I am not pleading guilty under coercion.” To change your plea you are essentially saying, “what I said under oath wasn’t true.”
