Eventually only the most deranged and narrow minded remain.

The overall gist of the discussion seems to be setting the stage for Putin to dissolve the government and end the illusion of civilian rule.
They didn’t quite say this, but it seems to be where this narrative is going.
“...democracy does not work.”
This is not unique to Russia.
Under the “Democracies” or “Republics” of the West, the Elites do more against the interests and preferences of their populations than the “Oligarchs” governing Russia do.
Sounds about as coherent as “The View”.

A single person on a discussion panel advocates something wild, and she decides to collectively smear the entire country with it.
This is sort of like deciding that Don Lemon advocating something means that the entire country of the USA should be smeared with it.

Russian Media Monitor began, funny enough, when the US orchestrated the Ukrainian coup in 2014 and Ukraine began murdering ethnic Russians.

1. From the Russian perspective democracy is the wild idea. Their normal state is authoritarianism and dictatorship.

The Founding Fathers were universally convinced democracy does not work.
The original constitution had multiple safeguards against it.
It always results in ochlocracy. And the final end of the republic.
Since neither proposition is true, what is your point?

It was working perfectly until 1920 when we passed the 19th amendment allowing women to vote.
That's the end of the American Republic.
We should have followed the Starship Troopers' version of citizenship. In order to earn it, you have to serve in the military. Then you can vote.
Women can serve in the military (as long as they're not infantry).
I’d go as far as saying pure democracy is an evil concept, maybe not as evil as many of the other forms of government, but the founding fathers were well aware of the dangers of democracy.
