I’ve said that many times - the 19th wasn’t a good idea. The 16th was even worse.
The Sons of the American Revolution, for reasons that escape me, takes pride in the fact that the man who cast the deciding vote for Tennessee to ratify the 19th amendment (it was the 36th state to do so) was a member of the SAR and later its national president.
