Like we believe anything the gummit is saying or ever said. Travelling at speeds of the space shuttle it would take some 150,000 years to reach the outskirts of the Alpha Centuri system. To be sure some form of life may be in our Galaxy, yet at incredible speeds say 90% that of the speed of light it still may take 100,000 years to get there, no round trip!

Except they have already been here for thousands of years. Probably before man.

Not if their craft can bend space and time.

Considering how old the universe is, if there are other civilizations out there, they could very well be thousands of years more advanced than us.

Just look how far and advanced technology has exponentially grown in just the past 100 years.

Good point.

If we stumbled out of our cave and walked and even jogged and swam occasionally it would take forever to get from New York to Hawaii.

I wonder if we can ever figure out how birds fly.

Lol.

Don’t assume we know everything there is to know about physics. FTL travel is mathematically possible. And that’s just with the science that we have figured out.

There is probably still a lot more that we don’t know.
