They've always acted that way. Often, they've escalated. Everyone is paying the price for it.
Best example? Derek Chauvin. A major f-up.

Something odd is definitely going on. When I was a young man, all my interactions with the police were fine. Sometimes I got a ticket. Sometimes I just got chewed out. But the cops were never rude or abusive.
Now I’m an old guy. I say “hello” to a cop while standing in a fast food line with him. I get no response. Just a look like I’m the dumbest person on Earth.
Yeah. Something has changed. And I don’t think it’s me.
