That reminds me of this:
Oh, it was over 40 years ago,
in a close race for county commissioner,
I heard one of the candidates walk to the podium and say:
“You know, I have heard a lot of people say
that my opponent is a liar,
and they say he is a thief,
and they say he can not be trusted,
but you will never hear me say that.”
Excellent
Reminds me of Shakespeare - Mark Antony’s funeral oration from Julius Caesar....(not an actual quote)
Caesar has done this and this for Rome
But Brutus says he was ambitious
And Brutus is an honorable man.
Repeated over and over until the crowd was ready to hang Brutus.
I'll go to my death bed believing he was 100 percent behind the killing of J. F. Kennedy.
Back when LBJ, was running for office as a Texas State Senator I believe (Not U.S. Senator,) he was going to accuse his opposing candidate, of having cardinal knowledge with a bull.
Members of his staff, argued that their was no such proof; to which LBJ answered "That may be the truth about not having "cardinal knowledge," but I'd still like to see him squirm out of it.
Hence the old democRAT playbook. Nothing to see here, just move along oh, don't forget to vote democRAT.
Remember boys and girls and ladies and gentlemen, you can’t spell the word DemocRAT without the word RAT. That’s why their known as the RAT party. The RATS are doing what RATS always do.
The old “And Brutus is an honourable man” ploy.
Marc Antony in his Friends, Romans, Countrymen speech.
