The problem is that suburbia and rural areas would remain rather stable, while urban areas would be in upheaval, and if EBT goes down, their voters are going to perish.

Furthermore, unless they have a national police force, most red-state local and state police will ignore directives from the feds.

So, essentially, it gets dicey for the feds once the people in the city notice that the chaos comes from their politicians. The politicians get tracked down and, well, God bless their hearts.

You can’t predict the outcome of chaos.

I agree with much of what you said but COVID taught us that there is no law so unjust that there will be no local policemen to enforce it. There will be plenty of them with enough firepower to enforce any law they are instructed to enforce.
