You might have power for your freezers and fridges for a week or so after things go south. Maybe you have enough fuel to keep things going longer, but in a real shtf scenario, public utilities and private suppliers may not be reliable sources of fuel.
Might want to have a plan b. Learn a few primitive methods of preserving food such as smoking, brining, salting, canning, etc. My guess is that there’s going to be plenty of smoke around in the future.
Your whole house generator will just be a lawn decoration once its fuel runs out. People don’t seem to understand that China is planning disruptions to critical systems that won’t last for days, they will last for months.
