Wow, great to hear from a Cybersecurity expert who’s scanned all of the US’s defense contractor networks. Didn’t even think the Chinese could do that. But here we got a guy on a public, unsecure forum doing it and sharing the findings.

We have a lot of poorly secured infrastructure in our defense industry.

And yes, we have become both very lax and a lot more vulnerable since the end of the Cold War.

Foreign and even domestic fabricated electronics, especially Chinese fabricated chips, can carry embedded malware in the actual artwork of the chips at the hardware level. Very hard to detect with todays increasingly complex and miniaturized circuitry

These chips become integrated into many systems and present potentially serious security risks

Anybody with two brain cells to rub together that has anything at all to do with that area of work can see that. I’ve seen it.
