Working as a TV tech at the 2008 DNC, I accidentally made an ass out of Dukakis on live TV. His lovely wife laughed about it, but I felt badly. As an unrelated aside to that, I handed him some headphones to wear as we were in the loud football stadium as the Obama worshippers were coming in. As I handed the bulky headset to him, I said “I’m sure you are familiar with these guys!” He smiled and said “Oh, yes!” It was funny, and funny to see him wearing them, in person. Anyway, nice guy and I loved his wife.
