Wales. has gone to hell in a hand basket. So glad my ancestors left in the 1600s. They were “indentured servants,” cut down trees for three years in exchange for passage to what is North Carolina now.
hopefully their servantude wasn’t too brutal- have looked into white slavery/servitude, and wow- it was really brutal- because believe it or not, white slaves/servants were cheaper than black slaves- and white slaves didn’t fare to well being so cheap to replace- The left deny that there were white slaves- but call it what they want, servantude was slavery in many cases- though not all to be sure-
