Republican Rep. Tim Burchett of Tennessee isn’t holding back when it comes to the border.
In remarks made on C-SPAN2 and posted by Townhall to X, the Tennessee representative impressed upon the American people the dire circumstances of the border crisis and the inaction by Congress.
“When I first took office and this border issue was already an issue, I can remember we started talking then, and I said, ‘No border, no budget,'” he began his Monday remarks surrounded by Freedom Caucus members.
“That’s how important it is to the American people,” he continued before starting in on the $1.2 trillion dollar spending bill that was passed last week.

My “conservative” congressman Walberg R-MI just voted for the $1.2 trillion mess that cut kid’s parts off and no building of even a 10’ picket fence on the border. I will NOT vote for for him this fall as there is no discernable difference between the GOPe and the dems, if this is how the rats gain power so be it.

The GOP has completely and totally fumbled when it comes to strategically shutting the border. Oh, this happened over YEARS.
I’m nearing 50. The border has been an issue my entire life.
The border will be an issue after I die.

It pains me to agree with you. The evidence can’t be ignored. The GOPe exists to give the illusion of opposition while cooperating with the communists.
I now realize that the only difference is the communists laugh at me while they’re destroying the country, while the Republicans do it and pretend to be outraged that it’s happening.
Burchett is definitely one of the few stalwarts in the District of Corruption. We need many more like him.
Traitorjoe and his kakistocracy have done nothing but give aid and comfort to the domestic and foreign enemies of the United States.

Situation normal. The GOP has been stabbing its voters in the back for a very long time. Its often perceived as weakness and appeasement, but the pattern says its intentional.

The illusion seems to work with most of the GOP voters who don’t seem to have any interest in the concept of accountability.

The GOP will lose the House and Senate this next election. I will vote for Trump and in some races down ticket but I’m not wasting my vote anymore on the congressional Republicans.

I know the feeling. I quit voting for my local GOP RINO - Mike Turner of Ohio - several election cycles ago.
